How SOPA and PIPA Infringe on Your Rights

January 22, 2012

If you’ve not heard of either SOPA or PIPA in the last few weeks and months in your journeys through the internet, now’s the time to get educated, and quick.

While the most recent news has been that the White House reaction to the SOPA bill specifically has effectively curbed it, there’s no reason why it can’t pop up again with a different name or a couple of simple changes that allow it to pass silently.

These two bills, SOPA and PIPA, are amongst the most dangerous pieces of legislature ever written up for passage by the United States government in regards to innovation and the free market on a global scale today: this post will tell you why.

SOPA stands for Stop Online Piracy Act and its sibling bill is PIPA, or the Protect IP Act. Both bills are written in a way that makes them appear to attempt the killing of online piracy – the hosting of media like videos, music, software, and the like, and offering it for download when the hosts do not have the right to do so.

What they actually would do, instead, is to put up a screen door to block a wave, this stopping all of the law-abiding fish when its the water they’re trying to get.

SOPA and PIPA give rights to businesses and the government itself to stop and sue companies out of existence, even if they’re not actually doing anything illegal.

SOPA and PIPA work with non-US sites by attacking the sites inside the USA that work with them to bring their content to US citizens.

Just to be clear, the US government already has the right to seize domains inside the USA (.com, .net. and .org) they believe are used for piracy, and have been doing so since 2010 through the “Operation In Our Sites” act with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York (SDNY) – having seized hundreds of domains thus far.

The Pentagon has “Cyberspace” as an Operational Domain as well, if you want to know. What SOPA and PIPA do instead is to force US-based internet service providers, search engines, online payment groups (like Paypal), and ad services to stop working with, indexing, and paying groups outside the USA if they host illegal content.

Copyright owners will be able to write up a certain kind of letter under SOPA and PIPA to a media host such as YouTube or any manner of data host demanding that the group take down any little bit of content we have, without proof that it’s theirs.

If we do no respond within five days, our host would have to either take us down entirely, or face themselves being sued into a corner as well. Can you see how this might be harmful to more people than just those who are “real” pirates of illegal content?

SOPA has a section (section 104, if you’re counting) which allows for a big bad conflict of interests that favors giant companies like Comcast. Legal immunity is given to ISPs like Comcast to block websites at will.

Comcast owns NBC, and if they found a group from somewhere outside the USA that competes with them, they could claim, technically, that if they had “reasonable belief” that they were “dedicated to the theft of US property,” they could stop them from being shown to everyone under their Comcast umbrella.

That’s not an open and free Internet, and it will not stop piracy!

And this is just the beginning. The people writing up this bill are not alone, and they’re not going to stop just the same as the people pirating media are not going to stop, ever.

You’re not going to get someone to stop looking at your painting if its out in public, you’re not going to stop someone from smelling the lovely smells your bakery gives off – the only thing you can do, media creators, is evolve.

These lawmakers are not protecting the interests of movie makers, they’re not helping out those who make music for a living. They’re attempting to control the free and open internet as it stands today so they can profit from a closed market. Plain and simple.

Get educated, do everything you can to stop this kind of outright evil.

Why College is a Scam

College education in America is one of the largest scams in the country. Rarely do you ever hear about the value of higher education being challenged economically, or on any grounds for that matter.

How Public Opinion Shapes Your Daily Life

January 17, 2012

By Andre Evans

People have an innate desire to be liked and accepted. This is normal. However, in this society, there is a major disconnect between how much value you may place in public opinion instead of your own own. It is for this reason that we see people consuming trendy diet pills loaded with hefty side effects and hopping onto the latest celebrity diets.

What’s more… public opinion also serves to silence opposition, causing you to be afraid of spreading the truth due to potential public disapproval. Of course this hierarchy of opinion goes much farther than just the latest pharmaceutical trends. In fact, it touches on basic human psychology.

Nobody wants to be rejected. This desire to avoid rejection, whether it be in a direct social circle or in the eyes of public perception, is a huge driving factor. For some people, it is an overriding factor in life. As a result, these people often will conform to what is deemed a societal standard of excellence, in order to avoid being ridiculed.

This process is highly compounded by today’s media. Unhealthy and unethical actions are glorified in movies, music and television. Often times, people can tell when something they decide to do is wrong, but are partially blinded by these mediums.

And when the mass majority is taking part, it makes it an extreme challenge to deviate from these newly defined ‘norms’. In fact, some social circles may even alienate you if you attempt to break away from the norm.

For example, is it really normal to take health-wrecking antidepressants that cause your arteries to thicken 400% more than aging?

Is it really normal to have clinical depression in the first place? The answer is no, but the motif of depression and the subsequent pharmaceutical ‘treatment’ is so deeply embedded into society that it is now considered normal by most individuals.

Take it a step further by acknowledging that high level media personalities and stars often are the ones promoting these things. Whether they purposefully do it or not, the image projected is that since these ‘successful’ people are accepting or indulging in a particular form of ideology, product or behaviour, that it must be popular to others.

As a result, many people will strive to be just like their celebrity idols, twisting themselves into something that they are really not. This is the case with consumers taking damaging diet drugs to look like their own celebrity hero.

Though this is more the case in younger circles with hard drugs and alcohol, the same scenario also applies in many life situations and similar environments far beyond youth.

Rather than taking pride in a manufactured and false personality (the kind that you might think people want to see), you should not be afraid to be a unique individual. When you actively try to impress or gain favor of others, you often suppress your true feelings and intentions.

You have to learn to be yourself and be happy with it, work towards your own cause, and love yourself. Don’t be afraid to speak out on key issues due to fear of what others may think.

Some people go for days, months, or even years suppressing their true feelings on controversial issues because of how much they value somebody else’s view of them. Twisting yourself into a knot will make all other aspects of life, including achieving optimal health and wellness nearly impossible.

Your value is not determined by someone else. Things in your life have as much meaning as you decide to place into them. In fact, the popular opinion is usually wrong based on historical fact. People respect individualism, and if you are self confident enough to reject a purposefully developed influence, then you will be able to accept yourself.

There’s given right/wrong knowledge inherent in all humans. We were born with it. Be brave, tap into it, step outside the hierarchy box which imprisons us all.

Help restore reality-think and don’t take part in devolution… for yourself and your children’s sake. And, yes, please DO SPEAK UP in this country’s dire state. Freedom was NEVER for free.. (Freeloaders, take note!).

Background Check on CNN

January 9, 2012

Since CNN broadcasters seem so intent on looking back decades into promo letters and newletters put out by one of Ron Paul’s organizations, even though they admit Ron Paul did not write the letters, lets take a look at the background of some of those affiliated with CNN.

It’s as elitist as you can get, with strong ties to the CIA recruiting ground, Yale University. CNN is owned by Times Warner, and CEO Jeffery L. Bewkes is a director of the Council on Foreign Relations and also serves on the board of Yale University.

Also affiliated with Yale and CNN are Anderson Cooper and David Gergen. Anderson Cooper spent time interning, during his summer breaks in his sophomore and junior years at Yale, at the CIA.

Cooper is the son of Gloria Vanderbilt and the great-great-great-grandson of Cornelius Vanderbilt. It was J.P. Morgan, Rockefeller and Vanderbilt who developed Jekyll Island, where the Wall Street elite developed the plan to launch the Federal Reserve.

Cooper is also a member of the Manuscript Society (aka The Wrexham Foundation). The Manuscript Society is a secret society at Yale University, like Skull & Bones. The society holds an annual gathering in its tomb on Halloween.

CNN senior political correspondent, David Gergen, is also a member of the Manuscript Society and was a presidential advisor who served during the administrations of Nixon, Ford, Reagan, and Clinton.

It is not clear when the Manuscript Society “tapped” blacks for membership, if ever. There are no publicly known black members of the society. As for the CNN reporter, Gloria Borger, who badgered Ron Paul, I have already reported on her background:

Gloria Borger (known in the media circles as a “hit-job” specialist) is married to Lance Morgan. Morgan is according to the web site of his employer, Powell Tate, “chief communications strategist at Powell Tate in Washington, D.C. He specializes in developing and executing communications strategies for public policy debates, crisis communications and media training.”

So who might be the clients of Powell Tate, where Borger’s husband is “chief communications strategist and crisis communications” adviser for? Just about every part of the military industrial-complex that Ron Paul wants to shrink or shutdown.

According to the Powell Tate web site, they provide strategic communications for among others:

The U.S. Army

The Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services

The U.S Agency for International Development

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce

and, I’m not joking, The National Pork Board.

Bottom line Gloria Borger’s husband is as Washington DC insider as you can get. Back in the 1990s, did Gloria Borger and/or CNN make a big deal about the 500,000 Iraqis who died due to Clinton’s sanctions on Iraq? No, and probably due to a form of racism.

This was a total hit job, bringing up decades old accusations about a newsletter that everyone agrees was written by others, while Dr. Paul was practicing medicine.

Further, as Justin Ramindo has clearly shown , most of the charges were made by people who couldn’t have read the newsletters in full context.

CNN is just the type of organization you would expect to go after Ron Paul, they are at the very core of elitist, establishment, hypocritical, Washington D.C.

The biggest money comes from the banks and military-industrial complex, Ron Paul threatens both, and they’ll use the media as their weapon against him.

No one actually cares about policy anymore. The big name media outlets never focus on anything of value. This is exactly why America needs a president like Ron Paul, who’s sole focus is on policy, liberty, and restoring this country.

Mitt Romney Exposed

January 6, 2012

Mitt Romney was lying at one of his speeches for half an hour about not having any lobbyists in his campaign but a courageous journalist named Glen Johnson stood up and exposed the lie.

He makes Mitt Romney look like the hypocrite he is so everyone crowds around him and goes “Hey now that was very rude, you are very unprofessional, you don’t argue with the candidate!”

It’s a documented fact that Romney has received millions of dollars from Goldman Sachs, Citigroup, and Bank of America as an “adviser”.

Slavery by Consent

January 3, 2012

This powerful series will attempt to not only show the deception that has been taking place, in the past and currently, as many documentaries have covered this topic before.

Rather, this series will attempt to uncover the key components that will hopefully empower each one of us, to regain control of our lives, freedoms, rights and dignity, just by using the same society that we’re currently living in to our advantage, rather than leaving it in the hands of those who are currently calling the shots.

The new world order will not only be exposed, but hopefully dismantled. Those who keep complaining about the system, but are not willing to educate them selves, so they’re able to stand up for them selves, and others, end up empowering the same system, they’re trying to reject.

Yes..you need laws in place in order to protect civil liberties and uphold the rights of all, otherwise the world becomes chaotic, and a very dangerous place.

However when the same so called ‘laws’ are manipulated to create a Cash-Cow, or to enslave others into submission to suit an agenda, when you have to ask for permission from the government (i.e license) in order to partake in an activity (i.e. driving, marrying, fishing, etc.), then it becomes a problem, like our world today.

Discussing the Social Insurance Number or Social Security..

A big war is around the corner, Phase 3 is actually the transfer of power from the United States to Israel, and the collapse of all paper money around the world, starting with the American dollar.

This will induce a paperless money system and control of the entire IMF system on a new grand scale.

Obama Passes NDAA Law

December 17, 2011

The right to due process in America is coming to a sudden end as traitorous members of Congress have now passed the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) which gives the U.S. military the power to arrest, detain, interrogate, torture and murder U.S. citizens inside the United States, with no due process.

Obama, who had previously said he would oppose the bill (because he claimed he already had the power to kill Americans outside the law), now says he will support it and presumably sign it.

The White House even issued a statement, which is one of the most astonishing and Big Brother-ish examples of doublespeak yet observed coming out of the Obama administration:

“We have concluded that the language does not challenge or constrain the President’s ability to collect intelligence, incapacitate dangerous terrorists, and protect the American people, and the President’s senior advisors will not recommend a veto…”

Of course, by “protect the American people” what they really mean is that they will shred the Peoples’ protections under the Constitution and Bill of Rights.

“It’s something so radical that it would have been considered crazy had it been pushed by the Bush administration,” said Tom Malinowski of Human Rights Watch.

Under the NDAA:

• You may be arrested and indefinitely detained merely for being “suspected” of any involvement whatsoever with “terrorism” — a term that can be twisted to mean almost anything.

• You no longer have a right to legal representation.

• You can be held for life without ever being charged for any crime.

• You no longer have a right to a trial by a jury of your peers.

• You can be murdered by the government — legally! — without ever being charged with a crime.

• The government does not have to present ANY evidence against you to take all these actions. The government merely has to assert that you are “suspected” of being involved in “terrorism.” Such suspicion, of course, could be dreamed up against anyone! Political opponents, Free Speech proponents, protesters, dissenters… anyone at all.

The complete list of the traitorous, criminal members of the House who voted YES on this bill — all of which must now be arrested and prosecuted under the laws of the U.S. Constitution — is available here

Read these names well, because they will go down in history as the seditious elitists who betrayed the American people in their most desperate hour, unleashing total police state tyranny against the innocent.

That these people in Congress somehow think they have the right to strip away the very freedoms GUARNTEED the American people under the U.S. Constitution is an outright violation of their own sworn oaths to protect that Constitution.

Here we are, with the indefinite military detention bill passed by both houses, and the White House saying it will sign it, granting the military the “administrative right” to kidnap you in the middle of the night, steal you away from your family, throw you in a secret military prison and hold you there for the rest of your life without ever being charged with a crime or given legal representation of any kind.

We are on the verge of the Bill of Rights being nullified by Congress and President Obama, and most of America remains hopelessly asleep at the wheel, having no idea what they have allowed to unfold right in front of them.

Tyranny is like a serpent that slithers into your tent, silently and maliciously, coiling around your torso and neck while you sleep. By the time you notice what’s happen and try to scream, it’s already too late.

That the passage of such a law is even contemplated by members of Congress is, all by itself, such a malicious violation against America that if a law with the exact same wording were proposed in 1789, those who voted for such a law would have been shot on sight and memorialized as criminal traitors to the United States of America.

“It turns out that destroying the American democratic republic was easy to accomplish,” writes David Seaman from BusinessInsider.com

“Simply get the three major cable news networks to blather on about useless bull**** for a few days, while legislators meet in secret behind closed doors to rush through the National Defense Authorization Act of 2012 (NDAA), and its evil twin sister, the Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA), which is a clever name for an Internet censorship bill straight out of an Orwellian nightmare.”

It only took 222 years for the American people to forget what freedom means, apparently. And now, Americans are so asleep, drugged up and ill informed that they won’t even speak out against the very government that’s coiling around their necks and strangling them to death.

Murder Inc

December 14, 2011

The Mexification of America is not for diversity and good will, its for the breaking down of the nation state and the social identity of advanced countries.

NAFTA created the border problem in the first place. To solve this problem, sufficient opportunities need to exist within Mexico so that people can afford to live a decent life.

The right of the Mexican people to protect their economy from globalization must be restored or this problem will only grow worse. Mexico must be free to invest in large-scale projects to support its growing population or there will be no end to the flood of desperate people looking for a better life.

Globalists feed on the little greeds of dumb sheeple. Most of us like to have laws that benefit us at the cost of others! American dream is a dream built by ripping many other countries the name of laws, currency rates and policies, by arm twisting / installing puppet governments in other countries.
